Accessing MAXQDA

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides concurrent user licenses for MAXQDA to Colgate’s faculty, students, and staff.  These licenses can be accessed for individual use in Room 345 (30 computers) and Room 501 (20 computers) of the Case-Geyer Library. Faculty may also reserve these rooms for coursework by contacting the Libraries.

In addition, faculty can access MAXQDA through a virtual lab using Ericom, our virtual software delivery system through HTML web access. If you would like to access MAXQDA through this method you will need to contact the ITS Helpline (call: 315-228-7111 or e-mail:itshelp@colgate.edu) with a list of your students so they can be given access.

Important Note: Please remember that when you access MAXQDA through the server, you are working in a virtual environment. You cannot save files to either the lab machines or the virtual machines. We recommend that your work be saved to your personal netstore storage. For faculty members considering the use of MAXQDA in coursework, we recommend that you request a “File Share” for your class to use as a place to store their projects.
